Britt Mikkelsen graduated from Curtin University in Visual Arts in 1993. A sculptor, designer and public artist, she has been involved in the arts for over 20 years. Passionate about nature, Britt explores the influence of humans on the world, creating artworks inspired by natural subject matter to juxtapose beauty and discomfort. Her work explores the hidden beauty in nature, the lost things, the things we often ignore in our daily lives. Using light and texture to convey themes, she explores various materials including resins, plastics and cement.
