About Jill Yelland

Jill Yelland studied Graphic Design, Printmaking then 20 years ago changed her medium to kiln-formed glass. Her work is inspired by the kaleidoscope of colours of the Western Australian landscapes from the Outback to our natural Coastlines, being a constant source of changing and challenging inspiration for her work.The Geology and geography of Western Australia, with its bold colours, textures, forms and pattern, created by nature over Millennium, form the concepts of her art-glass pieces. Each is individual and unique and tries to convey the essence of the location or region which inspired it.
