Born in Bunbury, Malcolm Hundley grew up on a farm in Manjimup where he developed the capacity to entertain himself – excellent preparation for the periods of solitude often needed as a painter. Living in Fremantle for nearly fifty years, he paints in acrylic and depicts the urban environment he witnesses. Malcolm captures the striking light of the west coast through his precise, hard-edged technique. He sees the urban landscape of our neighbourhoods as a dynamic stage, inviting viewers to step into the scene and engage with these places in new ways.
