Andy Quilty is a multi-disciplinary artist exploring notions of status, belonging and sense of place within the colloquial banality of suburban Australia. Graduating with a BFA from Curtin University in 2003, Quilty is a Lecturer in Fine Art at The University of Western Australia and Program Patron for the Military Art Program Australia, a non-profit assisting Military Veterans through art therapy. Quilty’s current projects include an ongoing collaboration with a prisoner serving a life sentence in a Western Australian jail, and investigations into the aesthetic and conceptual possibilities of automotive skids.
