Annette Davis is an artist and curator whose experience has been enriched by living in the Kimberley, Pilbara and now on the south coast of Western Australia. With a passionate interest in history, Annette is curious about the layers of experience held within a landscape. Annette gathers imagery and ideas through walking in nature, always conscious of her fleeting presence in an ancient landscape. In her paintings, Annette simplifies scenes from her walks to create semi-abstract landscapes which convey a sense of journey as well as a connection to place.
