Western Australian artist Claire Lawson is a founding member of Swan River Print Studio at Goolugatup Heathcote. Drawn to fine art printmaking by the challenge of manipulating the multiple variables of the process, Claire experiments with new ways of using traditional techniques, hand pulling her prints on an antique Columbian press built in 1857. Claire’s current series was inspired by the vast landscapes of our spectacular home state such as the hypnotic and extraordinary pink lakes at Hutt Lagoon.
