Western Australian textile artist Jennifer Gaye draws inspiration through conversation with and observation of nature’s depth of character. Using her own processes and techniques, Jennifer introduces these inspirations to cloth through her collage textile work. Jennifer uses machine and hand stitch, applying shades of subtleness and luminous colour, pattern and textiles like the stroke of a brush. She then captures movement through the lens of her camera before working back on the piece to reconnect the cycle and artistic conversation.
