Rhoda Kirk

Born in Scotland and now based in Perth, Rhoda Kirk completed an Honours degree in Fine Art at Curtin University after a career as a midwife. Her work bridges figuration and abstraction, constantly searching for new expression. Influenced by art history and living masters, she works in layers – glazing, scumbling, and impasto – alongside an impressionistic, expressive approach. Pastel and charcoal figure drawings are also part of her practice. Whether in the studio or painting outdoors, Rhoda is driven by experimentation and the push to keep her work evolving, always looking for a fresh dimension in her art.
