Sue Eva

Sue Eva was born in South Africa and grew up in Cape Town before relocating to Australia in 1998. She studied graphic design after leaving school and worked in advertising and design before starting to paint in 2016. Sue works primarily with acrylics on canvas and linen and paints quiet, considered still lifes with a particular muted palette that convey a monumental intimacy. Sue’s still lifes are about life, history and love and their connection to our families and lineage. Each still life, in its essence, is a portrait of the objects that reflect our lives.
