Carly Catalano is a textile artist from Williams Lake, a small town in Canada, who now lives in Scarborough with her husband and two daughters. Inspired by the Noongar seasons, Carly draws on the colours, plants and rhythms of Western Australia in her work. She works with ethical, natural fabrics, embedding them with pigments through natural dyeing techniques, using foraged leaves and flowers grown in her own garden. Alongside her studio practice, Carly enjoys sharing her knowledge by teaching natural dyeing workshops across Perth.
