Graduating from the Royal College of Art in London, Dominique Coiffait worked for 25 years in the fashion textile industry before choosing to become a printmaker. Since relocating to Perth in 2022, Dominique has focused his art practice on relief printing. Endeavouring to connect to this new and ancient land, his printmaking has become part of the process – looking, learning and responding. Since joining Swan River Print Studios, he has developed his now signature multi-block lino print series Plantscapes, which celebrates Western Australian biodiversity, championing all those amazing plants which we often describe as just ‘bush’.
