Born in Perth, Greg James graduated from Claremont Technical College with a Diploma in Fine Art (Sculpture) in 1974 and then spent two years on a work and study tour of the UK and Europe. Working out of the J Shed on Bathers Beach, Greg creates many detailed, figurative works for public places and private collectors. His current bird sculptures take the structure and idiosyncrasies of the subject, and using line and form, infuse them with personality.
