Western Australian sculptor Greg James graduated from Claremont Technical College in 1974 with a Diploma in Fine Art (Sculpture). He then embarked on a two-year work and study tour of Europe before returning to Claremont School of Art as the Sculpture Technician in 1977. Greg’s first solo exhibition was in 1978, and he worked from his home until 1987 when he established his first Fremantle studio. As well as Greg’s work with smaller collectible sculptures, he has numerous well known public sculptures throughout Fremantle and Perth and his work has featured in exhibitions overseas. Greg continues to undertake commissions for private and public artworks.
