Born in Kalamunda and now based near Dunsborough, Heidi Emma Mullender is influenced by the works of Renoir, Arthur Streeton, and early training with a mentor who studied under David Moore. Painting primarily in oils, she creates still lifes and landscapes in a tonal impressionist style, capturing the interplay of light and shadow with a soft, painterly touch. Her compositions often feature native flora, glassware and vessels that evoke simplicity, serenity and nostalgia. Largely self-taught, Heidi’s work invites viewers into quiet moments of reflection through calm palettes, gentle contrast and the beauty of everyday subjects.
