Ian Dickinson was born in Tatura, Northern Victoria and studied art at RMIT, Melbourne. He moved to North West Cape, Western Australia in 1988 and now lives in Roleystone. In his paintings, Ian likes to explore elements of colour, line, space and texture whilst still retaining some essence of the location. His work is focused on the beauty and expanse of the Western Australian environment and have a real sense of place that encourage the viewer to slow down and reconnect with nature.
