Originally from Ireland, Kevin Richardson is a self taught woodturner with 15 years of experience. He works in a variety of woodturning styles, all focused around the singular motto ‘the simple form’. He carefully chooses his timbers based on their natural beauty, features or contrasting colours, and designs his pieces to highlight these attributes. He also works in the Japanese method of charring timber known as Shou Sugi Ban. Most of his materials are locally sourced, sustainably harvested or salvaged from professional arborists in WA.
