Sam Hopkins is an Australian-Swiss sculptor based in Western Australia. Growing up on a bush property in the Perth Hills fostered a deep connection to the natural world and a fascination with material and form. Working primarily with steel, Hopkins creates sculptures that explore tension, movement and transformation through fabrication, metal inflation and surface finishings. His work draws on natural systems and industrial processes, examining the unseen forces that shape form and the relationships between weight, balance and space.
