Sophie Strohmeier’s interest in nature, painting, making and art began while growing up in the foothills of Darlington. Having completed a Bachelor of Visual Art with Honours at Curtin University, Sophie has now spent 30 years working as a textile artist – making bespoke soft furnishings for clients, running her textile store and teaching classes. Two years ago, she fell in love with silversmithing and has since been honing her skills and craft in the medium of metal. Her most recent work is a range of bracelets, bangles and cuffs.
