Born in Zürich and living in Walyalup/Fremantle, Valerie Schönjahn is an emerging artist with a background in the architectural profession and a passion for the garden. With an inquisitive nature, her contemporary arts practice is rooted in experimenting and interrogating the things closest to her, be they tactile or from her emotional landscape. Arising out of a personal dialogue, she creates visual conversations through hand-formed vessels and found and collected materials, setting scenes that become a reflection of human nature, our needs, desires and dreams.
