Term Two at Hale saw the historical Roundhouse return to its past role as an art studio on campus. The building that once saw Robert Juniper seated behind his easel, sharing his love of art with Hale students including Leon Pericles in the 1960s, became the home of Hale’s Artist in Residence.
With the United Nations declaring 2020 the year of global plant health, Fine Art@Hale met with Jude Willis. Focusing on macroscopic and microscopic ecologies, Jude’s detailed paintings of her environment help raise awareness of the incredible life that exists and grows all around us.

In recent years Hale School’s art-loving community has become accustomed to shivering in the rain and wind, gathering around the outdoor heaters at the doors of Memorial Hall, waiting to be among the first to see the artworks on display at the Opening Night of Fine Art @ Hale.
Working on the strong relationships already established between Hale School and the Warmun Community, Fine Art @ Hale this year welcomes a collaboration with Warmun Art Centre to bring some exciting works to the 2019 exhibition.
