Tessa Birch

Tessa is a Nyul Nyul/Nimamburr woman from Beagle Bay Community in the Kimberley. Her family connections span right across the Kimberley, from the fresh water to the salt water. She draws inspiration from this country of red pindan, freshwater springs, mangroves, creeks and the blue ocean. Her contemporary artworks incoporate Aboriginal art styles and tell the stories that have been passed down to her, reflecting a personal expression of growing up in her country.
