Anita is a Western Australian visual artist with an appreciation and respect for ‘place’. She looks to experience and paint landscapes of isolated, challenging and solitary beauty. Raised on a farm in the Wheatbelt, many of Anita’s works are grounded in her love of the big skies, long horizons and harsh weather of Australia. Working mainly in oils, recent explorations with cold wax and abstracting the landscape are new developments in her practice. Her current works are the result of a painting trip to the Pilbara region in 2021.
