Local artist Nadine Bastow is a mixed media landscape painter and sculptor with a passion for rich texture, vibrant colour and the interplay of light and pattern. Inspired by her 50-year connection to the dunes, beaches and waterways of Lancelin and Gabbadah (Moore River mouth), Nadine explores form loosely with ink, collage, block print and encaustic oil paint. Her sculptural clay work is informed by the indelible imprint land leaves on the human psyche, while her paintings explore the effects of the extraordinary Western Australian light on the landscape.
